Built for the first generation R8 4.2 V8

Compatible with the first iteration pre-facelift Audi R8 4.2 FSI V8 from 2007 to 2013, often referred to as Mk1 or Type 42. This rear box and pipework upgrade maintains the original vacuum line function and behaves just like the factory system in Comfort while unleashing the classic high-revving V8 howl in Sport.

Sound and performance you can feel

The stock silencer is muted and restrictive. This Cobra Sport system brings out the high-rev character of the Cosworth-derived 4.2 while keeping cabin refinement intact. Expect a richer idle, a crisper bark on throttle, and a hard-edged wail towards the 8,500 rpm redline without cabin boom. During testing we experienced a cleaner power delivery higher in the revs and a tangible reduction in rear-end mass that benefits handling.
