Compared with RP-1, RP-X provides roughly 25 percent more friction across its operating window and a noticeably more assertive initial response at the pedal. Expect disc wear similar to many popular track compounds, along with increased dust and some noise. That is the trade-off for maximum on-circuit braking performance and repeatability.

Race use and legality

Intended for competition use only. RP-X is not R90 homologated for public road use in EU member states. The compound offers excellent low-temperature performance so, where local regulations permit, it can be driven to and from events. Always follow your local laws.
