Technical highlights
The G‑chassis straight‑six places the intake next to the exhaust manifold, so temperature control is vital. Eventuri’s sealed carbon airbox encapsulates the filter and uses a perimeter seal to keep engine bay air out. A gold reflective shield faces the hot side, while a secondary cold‑air path from the wheel‑arch area supplements the main front duct so the turbo can breathe from a larger, cooler air supply even at low speeds.
The factory intake hose has a flexible, convoluted section that can disturb flow. Eventuri replaces it with a smooth‑bore, larger diameter carbon tube that maintains velocity and reduces pressure drop. The tube integrates neatly with OEM connections and includes CNC machined provisions for the relevant sensor and breather.
Versions and part numbers
BMW revised the sensor arrangement around late 2018. Choose the correct version for your production date and sensor type:
- EVE-G20B58-V1-INT - V1 for vehicles built before November 2018, mass airflow sensor located in the intake tube.
- EVE-G20B58-V2-INT - V2 for vehicles built after November 2018, temperature sensor located in the intake tube.
Not sure which you need? Remove the sensor from your stock intake pipe and check whether it is a MAF sensor or a temperature sensor before ordering.
