This Forge Motorsport aluminium charge air hard pipe with an integrated atmospheric piston valve is the proven solution for E-series BMW 135i, 335i and 1M owners who want reliable performance, clean fitment and effortless tuning headroom.

Part number FMBM335DV1 combines a high flow alloy throttle body pipe with Forge’s largest displacement piston dump valve for superb control and consistency. We have supplied and installed this kit on many customer cars and our own builds, and the feedback on fit, finish and drivability has been outstanding.

Real world performance

The included piston valve is the highest displacement unit Forge have produced to date. Its 50 mm alloy piston design moves serious air without the fragility of a diaphragm. In our experience it delivers consistent boost control and stable idle across a wide range of tunes. Customers report sharper response, clean venting and a tidy under-bonnet install that looks as good as it performs.

Spring and shim setup

For most N54 applications we recommend the Blue Spring with a 6.3 mm shim, targeting approximately 10 psi at idle vacuum. Always verify actual inlet manifold vacuum at normal operating temperature with a quality gauge at idle and select springs accordingly.

An optional 10 mm shim can be added to move from roughly 10 psi to around 11 psi to suit your preference.

Please note: Measure manifold pressure on your car to confirm the correct spring choice.

Optional service parts

If your original throttle body C-clip or O-ring is missing or worn, we recommend replacing them during installation to minimise the risk of boost leaks.
