Why this carbon air feed works

The factory snorkel features baffles and open sections that can disturb airflow and draw warmer underbonnet air. Forge’s carbon air guide directs cool air from the front of the vehicle into the airbox, including the lower flap that opens under high demand. When you go full throttle, the engine needs a stronger, colder feed. This snorkel delivers it.

Real results, proven on circuit

In back-to-back track testing, the standard setup showed heat soak with intake temps in the low 40s Celsius and peaks around 45°C. With the Forge carbon feed installed, logged data stabilised around 35 to 36°C over repeated laps. Lower and steadier IAT helps the ECU maintain ignition timing, supporting consistent power delivery. Conditions and supporting mods will influence figures, but the trend is clear.

Using digital scanning and CAD, Forge optimised size and routing to maximise flow to the stock air filter housing while helping limit hot engine bay air intrusion. The part is built from lightweight, rigid prepreg carbon in a 2x2 twill and cured in an autoclave for strength and accuracy, then finished with a UV-stable gloss.
