Ultimate front crank oil seal protection for BMW turbo sixes

Stop drive belt debris from being pulled past the crankshaft seal with the VAC Motorsports front crank seal shield for BMW N54, N55 and S55 engines. CNC-machined from 6061 aluminium billet, this precision plate creates a tight, concentric barrier around the crank nose to keep auxiliary belt strands out of the crankcase area and away from critical lubrication and timing components.

On hard-driven N54, N55 and S55 engines a failed serpentine or aux belt can be drawn through the front oil seal into the damper and hub cavity. The result is shredded rubber in the oil pick-up, reduced oil pressure, timing disturbance and the risk of major engine damage. This seal saver blocks that path with accurately piloted registers that centre the plate and maintain an even, minimal clearance for maximum protection.
